A fair of overseas Chinese business associations held in Changsha

On January 21st, a fair of overseas Chinese business associations, in which work experiences regarding to “double stabilizations” are exchanged, held in Changsha. It was co-organized by Hunan Department of Commerce, Hunan Foreign Economic Cooperation Association, Hunan Construction Engineering Group, Hunan Road & Bridge Co.,Ltd and so on.

In this fair, Shen Yumou, the party secretary and the head of the Department of Commerce in Hunan, discussed the current situation of overseas investment from Hunan. In 2021, overseas investment from Hunan reached 1.67 billion USD, with an annual growth rate of 12.1%. ranking tenth in China. The value of construction done overseas reached 2.76 billion USD, with an annual growth rate of 22.5%. He encouraged companies to improve their standard of foreign trade in order to meet international requirements such as RCEP, CPTPP, DEPA and so on. He also advised that as companies expand their foreign economic cooperation, their works should be empirically grounded.

Ning Yanfang, members of the party group and deputy director general of the Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development in Hunan, claimed that construction companies from Hunan had achieved a lots in the year of pandemics. Hunan Construction Engineering Group had made its first deal on importing foreign agricultural products. China Construction Fifth Engineering Division Corp.,Ltd had completed its freeway project in Algeria ahead of time. Hunan Road & Bridge Co.,Ltd had received a largest overseas deal in Georgia, and started a bridge project in Philippines.
